Bandai Getta Robot Soul of Chogokin Review

Getta Robot is the story of our heros piloting their super robot fighting against the uprising Underworld Dinosaur Empire and put an end to their evil plan of world domination.

Our heros pilot three vehicles that basically gattai (combine) into 3 variations of a super robot, each has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Bandai released the Getta Robot as one complete set, so you get all three at the same time. This was one of the earlier Soul of Chogokin releases, and there was a higher degree of metal content compared to some of the more recent releases (the Jeeg and Raideen were especially disappointing in metal content, reviews are coming).

These guys have a fair amount of articulation, and movements are true to their anime translation, that is to say they are stiff, but because of that, I love them more because it makes them more nostalgic.

The major parts of each robot can be broken down and interchange with one another.

Magnets are used in the chest and arms for connection, and it can get quite 'messy' when you start experimenting with different combinations. Overall, this was a quite a satisfactory purchase.

An extra note is that I initially picked this up to make up for missing out on Artstorm extremely cool Ex Gokin Getta Robots. Artstorm recently announced that a repaint version of these cool Ex Gokin will be released, and my Getta 1 is on its way, look for a review when it arrives this summer.
