Review: Fate/Stay Night - Figma Saber and Rin Tousaka

Fate/Stay night is the story of the quest for the holy grail where a group of masters (sorcerers) and their servants (spiritual fighters) battle each other with the winner being granted any wish. In came Max Factory, who dutifully recreated these two characters from the series under their figma product line.

Saber is the most powerful servant, and she looks very elegant in her armour outfit.

***Spoiler alert*** Having said that, I still find it somewhat disturbing to find out she is supposedly some sort of reincarnation of King Arthur...?

Anyway, Saber came with optional face and hands, and also came with both her Excalibur and Caliburn swords.

The lower part of her armour can actually spread out pretty far, though a bit unrealistic, it allows her a lot of freedom in movement and posing creativity. She does look pretty regal!

Max factory also produced an exclusive version of Saber with the PS2 game release. Dubbed Saber Lily, many would attest it as being the finest Saber action figure out there.

BTW, Good smile company is releasing a fixed pose Saber Lily Avalon this month! Very tempting...

Rin is one of the masters, and she comes with optional face, two swords (an Azott sword and a jeweled sword of Zelretch), an optional lower left arm, a pair of hands with jewels as weapon, several other optional hands, a figure stand as well as the protective zip-lock bag.

There are hinges on Rin's hair to allow for minor movement, and she can strike some nifty pose.
