News: Artstorm ES Gokin Getta Robot

The ES Getta Robots were initially planned for a late May release, but with a lot of their recent products, this one has been delayed too, we'll see I guess. But looking at these pics, these guys are worth the wait.

News: Artstorm Ex Gokin Shin Getter 1 (Fewture Direct Exclusive)

Coming in the spring of 2010, here is Artstorm's Shin Getta 1, to be sold exclusively from Fewture Direct on-line (that's what they say, but you can find these at a few on-line stores and also eBay, shop around though.)

It stands 260mm, made of diecast, pvc-abs-pom, and will sell for 34800 yen.

I must say, after seeing these pictures from Artstorm's website, I am a little interested in getting this, just look at all that accessories and weaponry, those two modular cannons, the double tomahawk, the scythe, and the very devilmanish wings...very groovy.

BTW, my re-paint version Ex Gokin Getta 1 should arrive soon, let's see if i am one of the "lucky" ones with missing parts...

News: Tokyo Toy Show 2009 - SOC Combattler V, Energy Z, Getta Dragon

New entries in the Soul of Chogokin lineup, GX-50 Combattler V, GX-51 Getta Dragon, GX-47 Energy Z.



GX-50 Combattler V renew version. Just looking at these pictures, the overall shape is not a whole lot different from the GX-03 version, I guess until side-by-side pictures show up, it will be hard to gauge where the proportions differ. This new version is supposed to have top-notch mobility (like the new Mazinger Z) and comes with the additional weapons and effects parts. 17800 yen, December.

GX-47 Energy Z, the prototype to Mazinger Z in the anime. This new color scheme is strangely attractive...6300 yen, August.

GX-51 Getta Dragon from the original OVA. 7500 yen, November.

News: Soul of Chogokin GX-51 Getta Dragon

This is the mass produced robot in the Shin Getta Robot OVA "Last Day on Earth", it is slated for a November release (don't know why this is GX-51 and comes out in Nov while the GX-50 Combattler V comes out in Dec, perhaps they think people will be more generous in Dec due to Christmas spirit or that the economy will recover more, so the GX-50 price tag is more readily accepted...), this one retails for 7500 yen. Again, the picture is a CG rendering.
