News: Bandai DX Chogokin Aquarion Gold Version

I am not familiar with the background of this mech, but I think it's one of Shōji Kawamori's works around 2004. I think it took a Getta Robot theme and expanded on it, 3 vehicles combining to form 3 robots, etc...

Anyway, coming this Dec, Bandai will re-release this DX Chogokin item in a gold plated version for 19800 yen. This is a pretty big item, measuring 400 mm.

News: Gundam G-Shock Watches

Coming in March 2010 are a pair of G30th commemorative watches from Casio's G-Shock line. "G-Shock" and "G30th" Anniversary, what a match.

The outer shell and wrist band are made of urethane resin, and they will sell for 16000 yen before tax. The functions include waterproof up to 20 atmospheric pressure, timer, alarm, stopwatch, time chimes, calendar, 12/24 hour switchable display and EL backlight.

Haha, just found out there's a new PS3 coming out in Japan on Sep 3rd, I'm so out of it these days. It's 120GB and only 30000 yen, so likely in the $300-$350 range?

News: Creamy Mami from Maitan

Creamy Mami - the Magical Angel, was an anime from almost 30 years, it documents the exploits of a grade school girl and her magical transformation into a teenage idol singer named Creamy Mami, sort of like Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana. The main subplot was how the girl deals with her crush on this guy, and the guy's crush on Creamy Mami, etc. etc. ...

This is one of the better rendition of the title character by Maitan, it's a 1/7 scale PVC figure coming in Oct for 6800 yen.

First edition also comes with this postcard.

News: Mini MG Box Art Jigsaw Puzzle

Mini jigsaw puzzles will be made based on these MG Gundam Plastic Kit box art (they also made these based on Art of War as well).

Each box art puzzle, that's each one, will be sold for 630 yen and will measure 100 x 147 mm (postcard size) when completed. There are 99 pieces in each puzzle with each piece is roughly 1cm.

I'd like to have what the product and market researchers have been eating...
