I always have an issue with the length of the Macross...In the anime, an entire city was inside the original Macross with enough room to do some serious dog fighting in valkyries. At 1280 m, the Macross is 3+ times the size of the USS Enterprise (the real nuclear carrier) and the carriers on both sides are roughly the same size as the Enterprise, but I still think the overall length of the Macross is somewhat misrepresented in the anime...

News: Yamato Macross Display Stand

Yamato's very popular display stand for their Macross action figure line will be released later in a new metallic blue color, I'm ordering mine now...also, if you missed it, the VF-1 armour set will be re-released in May on its own.

News: Wave 1/100 VF-1S model kit

Wave posted updates on their upcoming 1/100 Macross VF-1S model kit, coming in Dec for 2400 yen.  This is not transformable, they are also making a battroid version separately.

It has good details, not too sure though as Hasegawa also has 1/72 with comparable if not better detailing.

Another on-line exclusive to reiterate, if you don't live in Japan, you lose.

Ok, preordering from Yamato On-Line shop will start in Sep and releasing in Dec is the redesigned "armour pack only" for Yamato 1/60 VF-1 series, retail price is 6800 yen. The additional gimmick this time is the micro missile firing parts, they look kind of cool actually.

The looks appeared to be an improvement over the previous version, but still look a bit too clumsy for my liking. It's too bad, I really like this design...
